At our February 2025 meeting we made final preparations for the busy spring show season and played some games with our recently acquired UCS Millennium Falcon, thanks to Brickmania – Capital Store.

In addition to our usual business talking about upcoming shows and display opportunities, small groups separated to finalize collaborative build details. The Tidal Basin, Monster Trucks, and Cobra Island collaborations huddled up to test fit elements and make final arrangements before their public debuts. One of the key activities of our monthly meetings is the opportunity to talk through group projects and individual MOCs.

Participating members also displayed their patchwork quilt mosaics, the theme for our January MOC Challenge. Each person built an 8×8 mosaic and then connected them together on a 32×32 baseplate to create a patchwork. This month’s activity at this meeting was to break down the UCS Millennium Falcon with several different sorting options.

We had 34 participants join us at the Chantilly Regional Library for our February meeting. Huge thanks to the staff and the public visitors who stopped in and asked about the club!
