Our July meeting represented our last opportunity to get together prior to BrickFair NOVA 2024. Members discussed the layout for BrickFair featuring our massive Waterfront collaboration and monthly build challenge entries. We celebrated a great month of displays in June throughout the community including at the Kings Park Library, Brickmania Capital Store, and the Potomac Mills LEGO Store cubby display.

Members who participated in the Claude Moore Rec “Play All Day VA” event share their experience. We have five builders showing off their builds, an interactive LEGO dog park, and general play brick! We’re excited to join the Rec Center again in October for their trunk or treat event! 

Members brought their fun monochromatic spaceships from our June monthly MOC challenge! Thanks to everyone who participated and congrats to our winners! Emelie N. and Hamilton W. built the fan favorite azure builds.

Our activity this month was a build challenge featuring set 31058 (Mighty Dinosaurs). Several sets were mixed into one big pile in the center of a table. On go, participants worked to build the T-Rex picking up just one piece at a time. Cam M. finished his build first, taking home another victory in the monthly build challenges!

We had 24 participants join us at the City of Fairfax Library for our July meeting. Huge thanks to the staff and the public visitors who stopped in and asked about the club!
