At our October 2024 meeting, members discussed several upcoming display opportunities including refreshing the Brickmania display at our November meeting (which will be hosted at the store), the Sherwood Library display case, the LEGO Discovery Center Adult Night, the Claude Moore Recreation Center Trunk or Treat, and our three collaborations: Darcy hotel, Cherry Blossoms, and Fantasy! There’s still time to get involved in many of these displays!

Members also discussed the upcoming daily build challenge; MOCtober! The month-long activity features a daily single word prompt, on which builders base their daily MOCs. Check out these incredible builds by searching for #MOCtober2024 on Instagram. 

Members also brought their spooky MOCs from our September monthly MOC challenge! Thanks to everyone who participated and congrats to our winners Sabih Z. who built the fan favorite Black Cat Shadow. Our activity this month was a parts draft featuring set 10329 (Tiny Plants). The set features several recolors (20 total!), and ten rare elements!

We had 23 participants join us at the Tysons-Pimmit Library for our October meeting. Huge thanks to the staff and the public visitors who stopped in and asked about the club!
